Why is everyone on this planet obsessed with the new game spore?
I was watching a game play video and yawned all the way thru it..well the 10mins I watched before i got so board I turned it off! I can't believe such a pointless game is doing so well? it's a lot of crap if you ask me!
People have said to me that playing The Sims is pointless? Well I think spore is more pointless! If you say sims is pointless and you play spore then quite frankly your a hypocrite in my eyes!
Thank god one person call angus ireland has some sense not to like it!

Dude...Spore is treated with such high respects and claims plainly because it enables people to create WHATEVER THEY WANT.
Just because a person doesn't have any imagination, and are unable to create anything of interest does not mean they ought to say that it is terrible.
You're saying that Spore sucks, and you have no evidence for your reasoning. You do this with EVERYTHING. And you're someone who loves Habbo Hotel...
Also, I love how you have these comments moderated...as if to say you'll only allow comments that agree with you.

1st off...Habbo? urm...i not been on habbo for about 5 years mate!
I have in fact played spore and it's nothing to do with my imagination.
The game is well designed and made, I am happy to say that but the actual game its self just get a bit boring and pointless.
Just remember that everyone has their own opinion and also likes and dislikes :)

Then why are you dissing Spore instead of The Sims, which is FAR more pointless because it's stuck to specific guidelines?
Spore has the ability for you to create a lot of awesome creatures...mostly as far as recreation of other video game characters.
And all games begin to get a bit boring and pointless, this much is true. But that's the point where experimentation, and exploration comes into the playing field.
A general Community based around the game tends to help your imagination as well. This can help you get better ideas of how to play the game, and can give you some inspiration for things that you can do yourself.
SonicJohn you realise that everyone has their own tastes. So you enjoy Spore and Paul enjoys The Sims, whats wrong with that? Accept that others have different tastes.
From your screenname I understand that you may be a large fan of platform games, well thats your choice right? And spore is basically a platform game so your bound to enojy it right?
Yes the creativity aspect of spore may be good. But its not totally create whatever you want is it? You still chose from predefined "pieces" as it where.
And face it after you create the character you are left with a three dimensional Tamagotchi right?
